The VŠE Eco Team
The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) is committed to an active approach to sustainability and environmental protection. Therefore, at the beginning of 2025, the VŠE Eco Team was established, the main goal of which is to assist in the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy, support environmental initiatives and achieve the prestigious international Green Flag Award within the EcoCampus framework as the first university in Central Europe.
Who we are
The VŠE Eco Team is an interdisciplinary group of students, employees and partners of the university, who together participate in creating a more sustainable unniversity. We work as an advisory body to the university management, as an executive body in relation to the implementation of the EcoCampus system, and at the same time we actively cooperate with Czech and foreign partners in the field of sustainability.
Mission
- Support for sustainability – development and implementation of strategy measures leading to the sustainable operations of the university.
- Communication and education – raising awareness of students and employees about environmental and social challenges and possible solutions.
- Partnership and cooperation – connecting with public and private organizations that share the same vision of sustainability.
Goals
- Obtaining the Green Flag award as the first university in Central Europe.
- Implementing effective measures to reduce the environmental footprint of VŠE.
- Involving students, academia and partners in environmental projects.
